5 signs that tell you when it's time to leave a relationship

Relationships can have kind of trouble, it’s sweet when it’s going well but if something happens and you find yourselves in one kind of trouble, it’s going to hurt. If you have been with someone for a long time, you can do a routine that will make you no longer notice what they are doing because it has become a normal thing for you. Looking at it from another angle can help you gain a sense of what’s going on in your relationship. No perfect relationship. Even the people who are happy enough to eat their mouths off will still have quarrels, disagreements and break ups. That's what life is like!

But sometimes you’ll need to look at your relationship without any unnecessary stories in your eyes so you can see if those little quarrels you’re having are escalating into bigger problems. Sometimes you’ll need to leave that kind of relationship and put yourself first in order to be happy.

You’re always unhappy: Any relationship, whether it’s friendship, family or romantic relationship is supposed to give you joy. You are suppose to be happy when you want to see your partner and it will make sense when you are together. Truth be told, you’re not always going to be happy in a relationship because it’s not a fairy tale but you’re supposed to feel loved, safe and supported. If you’re always unhappy, it could be that you or your partner is causing it. It’s good to find out why you’re unhappy so that you can fix it or leave it. Don’t be ashamed to admit that your relationship isn’t giving you the same support and happiness that it’s supposed to give you before.

You walk different paths: Sometimes you may start a relationship in one place but as you grow older, your minds may change. Long term relationships are sweeter as you grow and change with your partner. But sometimes you’ll be growing and changing at a different pace from your partner’s own. If you’re going in different directions, it could be that the relationship is going to be hard. Also, if you’re on different emotional levels, you won’t want the same thing. For this kind of matter, it would make sense for you to leave with love so that you can do what you want to do. It’s a good idea to talk about what each of you want in a relationship if you want to be serious about the matter.

Lack of support: In a relationship, you hear? You are suppose to feel that your partner believes in what you are doing and backs you 100%. If you don’t see that support, you may start feeling bad and unhappy. Emotional support is also very important. If you’re not feeling it for the relationship, it can damage it and affect your happiness. If you don’t see your partner putting in effort and supporting you well enough, try talking about it with him or her.

Abuse of any sort: This one is when your partner is doing you anyhow, either through yansh (physical), oral (emotional), or sex (sexual), or even money matter (financial). If your partner has done you like this, my person, please think about leaving. Abuse is not good, it is very damaging and the person doing it will still tell you not to walk. But please, please leave for your own safety. It can be a little hard to walk away from a relationship like that, but there are hotlines you can call if you need help. Remember, you are not alone in this matter.

Lack of trust: In a relationship, trust is supposed to be well-established. If it’s not there, you may doubt what your partner is doing and jealousy can enter. If you don’t trust your partner, try to work it out and rebuild the trust. But if it’s past rebuilding, maybe your partner has broken your trust too many times, you can leave the relationship. There’s no shame in admitting that you can’t be with someone you don’t trust. What makes you happy is what you’re supposed to go for.
